Description

Zeo-Mangan is a high-quality water filtration media made from glauconite greensand, specifically designed to remove iron, manganese, and hydrogen sulfide from water. Through a process of oxidation and filtration, Zeo-Mangan effectively reduces these contaminants, producing cleaner, safer water.

The greensand granules oxidize and precipitate soluble iron and manganese, while hydrogen sulfide is converted to an insoluble sulfur precipitate. These contaminants are then filtered out and removed by backwashing. Regeneration with potassium permanganate restores the media’s oxidizing capacity, ensuring long-term, efficient filtration. With a low attrition rate, Zeo-Mangan offers an extended bed life and effective performance over a wide pH range.
